Nuemis - Rendang

Straight out from our grandmother’s recipe book, this is the best and most authentic Rendang recipe you can find. The taste will make you understand what home is.

Originated from Indonesia, Rendang is a rich and tender coconut stew often cooked with beef which explode flavours from a slew of herbs and spices like lemongrass, chillies, galangal, ginger and kaffir lime leaves and often served at ceremonial or celebratory occasions.

This is one dish that you will not regret trying.


INGREDIENTS:
Onions, Garlic, Ginger, Lemongrass, Galangal, Turmeric, Kaffir and Turmeric Leaf, Tamarind, Kerisik, Chilli, Salt, Sugar


METHOD OF COOKING:
• Add paste in heated cooking pot and add 300ml of water, mix well and let it boil

• Add 1kg of meat and coconut milk (100ml)

• Simmer on low heat until meat is cooked. Ready to serve.
